We were beyond thrilled to see an incredible turnout for our special event at Moana. If you’d like to come check out another practice, you’re welcome to drop by our normal practice on Sundays at 4 p.m. at Moana Pool or Thursdays at 5:45 p.m. at Northwest Pool.

Open water polo practice for all skills levels, ages 5-18
Saturday, Feb. 22, the community is invited to Water Polo Day hosted by local nonprofit, Sierra Nevada Water Polo.
This special event at the new Moana Pool will help introduce one of the world’s toughest sports to kids of all skill levels from ages 5 to 18.

High school (8th grade+): Help bring a high school water polo team back to northern Nevada for the first time in 10+ years!
8th graders to juniors in high school: Come take part in a trial water polo practice that will demonstrate game play and teach the game’s fundamentals.
Help us bring a high school team back to our area for the first time in 10+ years!
- Coaching led by Reno local and 2021 Olympian Ben Stevenson
- Leverage swim skills in a team sport
- Play with athletes across northern Nevada high schools
- Opportunities to travel to tournaments
Ages 5-12: Come try polo practice!
- Trial practice for new and interested athletes
- Learn critical water safety skills such as treading in the deep end
- Improve swim technique
- Learn basics of water polo
